FC Goa announces traffic plans for ISL 2022-23 for public convenience

Goa Khabar: FC Goa would like to communicate that the Club, in coordination with Goa police have formulated the following plan for guidance of motorists, spectators, local residents and general public for the ongoing season of the Indian Super League.. 

 

In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic and orderly parking of vehicles during the upcoming match against ATK Mohun Bagan, the following traffic arrangements are made on match days and following places have been declared as “Parking”.

Traffic Flow

The General Public/ Ticket Holders from North side i.e. Vasco/ Panaji (NH-66) will be diverted at Ambaji Junction Bhavan Margao towards Ravindra via Old market Circle and will be allowed to vehicles at park their Joggers Park, SGPDA pickup stand & KTC Parking area.

The General Public/ Ticket Holders from South i.e. from Quepem/ (South side) Cuncolim/ Colva, Margao City (South Side) are to enter through Abade Fariaroad, Old Market Circle and proceed towards SGPDA Market and will park their vehicles at Ravindra Bhavan, Joggers park.

The General  public/ Ticket Holders from South i.e. from Ponda, Raia are to enter through Arlem Circle towards Fatorda by SH-5 and  proceed towards  PWD Office and they will be diverted towards Don Bosco College side to park their vehicles at We for Fatorda ground.

Only VIP cars with passes will be allowed to proceed via Ambaji Junction towards Fatorda PJN Stadium till drop off point at Gate No. 1. However, their car will not be allowed to park near or inside stadium. The driver will further and will proceed park their vehicle on church parking area. The route for VVIP will be from Ambaji Junction and towards Fatorda Stadium vehicles will enter through the Gate No. 1 and their Cars will be inside stadium on VVIP parked Parking lot

The SH-5 road from PWD office to Dambab circle will be closed for General vehicular traffic and only the vehicles of Pass/ Ticket holders will be allowed to towards parking lots i.e. near Joggers Park.

Fatorda bound vehicular traffic coming from Margao city will be stopped at Borda near Eurico Silva house and diverted via Agali-Bolshe Circle – By-Pass for their onward journey.

Vehicular traffic coming from Ponda/ Raia /Eastern Bypass will be segregated at Arlem junction. The general traffic will be diverted on the Nuvem By-Pass/ Eastern Bypass to proceed for their onwards journey/ destination towards South Goa. Only Ticket/Pass holder vehicle /accredited vehicle will be allowed to proceed towards Fatorda Stadium side upto Sincro Hotel Junction and further their vehicle will be diverted towards Don Bosco College side towards parking area at We for Fatorda.

 

Local buses proceeding to and coming from Ponda/Borim side will be diverted to journey/ take the destination route via Borda/Eastern By-Pass/ Nuvem Bypass for their onward and vice versa.

 

Kindly note that there will be no entry for heavy vehicles except transporting essential goods from 15.00 HRS TO 23.00 HRS on matchdays.

 

All general public and spectators are hereby appealed to “Cooperate” with the Traffic arrangement made by the Police and to assist Traffic Police during Indian Super League Matches, in order to ensure smooth flow of traffic, to avoid any traffic congestion and untoward incidents and to make the Game successfiul.
