They called upon every Congress worker to actively participate and take the message of the Abhiyan to every constituency, village and household.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar said, “Goy Rakhon Abhiyan is not merely a political programme; it is a people’s movement to protect Goa and the interests of future generations. Goa’s land, identity, culture and natural resources are under tremendous pressure. The Congress party is determined to unite Goans against policies that threaten our future. We are preparing a strong organisational campaign, and every office bearer and Congress worker must take ownership of this responsibility. Our objective is to make this Abhiyan a powerful voice of the people of Goa.”
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao stated, “Goa is not a commodity to be sold, nor is its land and identity meant to serve the interests of a few powerful individuals. The people of Goa deserve a government that protects their rights, safeguards their resources and respects their aspirations. Through Goy Rakhon Abhiyan, we will expose issues affecting ordinary Goans and build a united public movement for the protection of our beloved State. The fight to save Goa must go beyond political boundaries and involve every concerned Goan.”
Working President MLA Altone D’Costa said, “The success of Goy Rakhon Abhiyan will depend on the strength of our organisation and the active involvement of our grassroots workers. Every constituency, block and village must play an important role in this campaign. We must reach out to people, listen to their concerns and mobilise public opinion. Congress workers must work with unity, discipline and determination to make this Abhiyan a resounding success.”
The meeting also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between the PCC leadership, district and block committees, frontal organisations, elected representatives and grassroots workers to ensure that the Abhiyan receives widespread public participation.
The Congress leadership expressed confidence that the upcoming Goy Rakhon Abhiyan would emerge as a strong collective platform for Goans to raise their voices and defend the State’s interests.
