AAP leaders corner Vishwajit Rane on pathetic state of South Goa District Hospital, demand better facilities

Goa Khabar:AAP South Goa Youth Wing President Neash Coutinho and Chief Spokesperson Pio Kevin cornered Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on the pathetic state of SGDH. Highlighting this issue at Fatorda’s Sarkar Tumchya Daari program the AAP leaders pointed out that the hospital has inadequate services for patients and overflowing sewage around it. They also highlighted the bad state of CHC’s and PHCs across South Goa and demanded better facilities.

The AAP leaders pointed out that just last month the entire South Goa District Hospital was completely overcrowded, with patients forced to get treatment on chairs, stretchers and on the floor. They demanded to know why the BJP waited for the elections to come close before announcing improvements. They also pointed out that CHC’s and PHC’s have just become referral centers without adequate facilities.

AAP Chief Spokesperson Pio Kevin pointed out that it is a shame that the hospital is surrounded by open flowing sewage. Where patients are supposed to be given healthy surroundings the hospital is surrounded by sewage.

Neash Coutinho stated that despite AAP Goa highlighting the pathetic state of South Goa District Hospital last month there has been no improvement. Patients are forced to come from all over South Goa due to non functional or inadequately equipped PHCs and CHCs. While Goans suffer all the Govt gives us is false assurances.
