Goa Khabar: Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho has said that the Goa government is considering appointing specialised agencies to carry out mapping and surveys of panchayat areas across the State.

Godinho said the proposal is being considered due to the varying terrain and geographical conditions across Goa, which require a more systematic and specialised approach while conducting surveys.

The government is currently in the process of collecting inputs from various panchayats before finalising the proposed survey framework.

According to the Minister, feedback from the panchayats will be taken into consideration while determining how the new mapping and survey mechanism should be implemented.

The proposed appointment of specialised agencies is expected to provide a structured approach to panchayat-level mapping and surveys, taking into account the different terrain and local conditions across the State.

The government will finalise the new survey framework after completing the ongoing consultation and input-gathering process with the panchayats.
