Goa Khabar Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) MLA Viresh Borkar intervened to stop an alleged illegal road construction activity in Curca after receiving complaints from local residents. The site inspection was carried out following concerns that the work was being undertaken without the required permissions and approvals.

During his visit, Borkar interacted with residents, inspected the ongoing work, and questioned the legality of the construction. He stated that no development activity should proceed in violation of existing laws or without following due process. He also urged the concerned government departments to immediately verify the permissions granted for the project and take appropriate action if any violations are established.

Residents welcomed the intervention, expressing concerns that the road construction could have environmental and legal implications if carried out without proper authorization. They appealed to the authorities to ensure transparency and strict enforcement of regulations before allowing any further work.

Borkar reiterated that public infrastructure projects must comply with statutory norms and safeguard the interests of local communities. He assured residents that he would continue to monitor the matter and press for action by the concerned authorities until the issue is resolved in accordance with the law.
