AAP MLA Cruz Silva inaugurates Futsal Ground at Chinchinim to promote grassroots football

Goa Khabar : AAP MLA Engr. Cruz Silva inaugurated a futsal ground at Chinchinim, in Velim constituency in the presence of PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, Chinchinim Sarpanch & AAP Goa Working President Gerson Gomes and local residents. The ground was built using Silva’s MLA-LAD funds.

Addressing the gathering, Engr. Cruz Silva stated that the futsal ground has been developed to encourage young footballers from Velim Constituency by providing them with modern sporting infrastructure and quality facilities to nurture their talent.

He said that despite being in the Opposition, he has remained committed to carrying out development works in sports and several other important sectors, ensuring that people continue to receive the facilities they deserve. He stated that development should never be restricted by political differences and that public representatives must continue working in the interest of the people.

Engr. Cruz Silva informed that the project was executed through MLA-LAD funds. He said that after obtaining the necessary government approvals, the proposal was submitted through the Public Works Department and successfully processed to develop the futsal ground for the benefit of the local youth.

During the inauguration ceremony, several football players from Chinchinim were felicitated in recognition of their achievements and contribution to the sport. Engr. Cruz Silva congratulated the players for bringing pride to Goa and encouraged them to continue excelling at the national and international level, inspiring the next generation of footballers.
