St. Andre MLA Viresh Borkar voices support for students and Sonam Wangchuk
Goa Khabar : St. Andre MLA Viresh Borkar has expressed solidarity with students, social reformer Sonam Wangchuk, and what he referred to as the “CockroachJantaParty” in their protest against what he described as injustice by the government.
In a statement, Borkar said he stands firmly with those raising concerns over the treatment of Sonam Wangchuk. He also criticized the decision to take Wangchuk to a hospital, alleging that the action was carried out unlawfully and calling for transparency and accountability from the authorities.
“The voices of students and citizens demanding justice deserve to be heard. Democratic rights must be respected, and any action against peaceful protesters should follow due process,” Borkar said.
The MLA urged the government to address the concerns raised by the protesters through dialogue and to ensure that constitutional and democratic principles are upheld.
