Father-Son duo arrested for alleged assault on advocate and client in Mandrem

Goa Khabar : The Mandrem Police have arrested a father and son in connection with the alleged assault on an advocate and his client over a dispute linked to a court-ordered demolition case.

According to police, an FIR was registered at Mandrem Police Station on July 18, 2026, under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint lodged by Advocate Ankur Anil Kumar (32), currently residing at Alto Betim, Goa, and originally from Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand.

During the investigation, police arrested Dhruva Dileep alias Loshan Morje (30) and his father Dileep alias Loshan Manguesh Morje (55), both residents of Tembwada, Morjim, Pernem.

Police said the accused allegedly assaulted Advocate Ankur Kumar and his client, Anil Prabhakar Naik, over a demolition order passed by the Hon’ble Court in a contempt petition filed by Naik.

The police are continuing efforts to identify and trace the other unknown accused allegedly involved in the incident while collecting additional evidence.

Further investigation into the case is in progress.
