Rainfall almost vanishes across Goa; Only Sanguem records light showers
Goa Khabar : Monsoon activity weakened significantly across Goa, with the latest rainfall data for the 24-hour period ending at 8:30 AM on July 14, 2026, showing an almost complete absence of rainfall across the State.
According to the rainfall classification, no location in Goa recorded moderate, heavy, very heavy or extremely heavy rainfall during the reporting period. Even the very light rainfall category remained nil, highlighting a sharp decline in monsoon activity.
Sanguem was the only station in Goa to record measurable rainfall, receiving 4.3 mm, which falls under the light rainfall category (2.5 mm to 15.5 mm).
The latest figures indicate that the widespread rainfall experienced over the past several days has almost disappeared, with most parts of Goa remaining completely dry during the last 24 hours. The data reflects a temporary lull in monsoon activity across the State after an extended spell of rain.
