Goa Khabar: Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has announced a stricter enforcement policy against drunk driving and road accidents, stating that offenders will now face immediate arrest.

Speaking on the decision of the State Transport Authority (STA), Godinho said that drivers found driving under the influence of alcohol or those involved in road accidents will be booked and arrested without delay as part of the government’s efforts to improve road safety.

He further clarified that legal action will first be initiated against the driver, and proceedings against the vehicle owner will follow wherever applicable, ensuring accountability at every level.
