Goa Govt to Restrict Thars in Rent-a-Cab Fleet Over Road Safety Concerns
Goa Khabar: The Goa Government will introduce restrictions on the use of Mahindra Thar vehicles in the Rent-a-Cab sector, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has announced.
The Minister said the government has decided to stop the conversion of existing rental vehicles into Mahindra Thars, citing increasing accident data and growing road safety concerns involving the popular SUV.
According to Godinho, the move is aimed at improving road safety and ensuring a safer transport environment for both tourists and local commuters. The government believes that regulating the use of Thars in the rental fleet is a necessary step in light of safety considerations.
Further details regarding the implementation of the restrictions are expected to be announced by the Transport Department.
