Sai Nursing Institute to Celebrate Matoshri Padmini Day on July 6, Marking a Decade of Educational Excellence and Service

Goa Khabar: Celebrating a journey of educational excellence and community service, Sai Nursing Institute, Sankhali, will observe Matoshri Padmini Day on July 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the SNI Auditorium. Organised by the Matoshri Padmini Educational Society (MPES), the programme will highlight the institution’s journey and its contribution towards expanding educational opportunities in Goa.

Emerging from a vision to strengthen education and skill development in Goa’s hinterland, Matoshri Padmini Educational Society, established in 2014, has developed a network of institutions across healthcare, professional education and vocational training. These include Sai Nursing Institute, Sai Paramedical Institute, Goa College of Physiotherapy, Goa College of Naturopathy and Yogic Science, Goa Institute of Skill Training, Bharat Academy and Padmini College of Pharmacy. Over the years, these institutions have created opportunities for students to pursue specialised education within the State.

Building on this foundation of academic development, the Society has steadily expanded its educational offerings to meet emerging professional demands. A significant milestone in this journey was the inauguration of Padmini Smriti in October 2024, a modern academic facility dedicated to nursing education. The institution continues to focus on nursing, paramedical sciences, physiotherapy, naturopathy, pharmacy and skill-based education, contributing to the growth of healthcare and professional learning in Goa.

Reflecting a sustained commitment to educational advancement and skill development, Matoshri Padmini Educational Society has continued to expand opportunities in healthcare, professional education and vocational training through its institutions, contributing to the growth of education in Goa.

The programme will be attended by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant as Chief Guest and Senior Oncologist at Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Dr. Anupama Borkar as Guest of Honour. Former Chairperson of Sai Nursing Institute Mrs. Sulakshana Sawant, Chairman of Matoshri Padmini Educational Society Shri Pandurang Kurtikar.
