Goa Police Unveils 3-Year Roadmap to Combat Drug Menace

Goa Khabar: Goa Police has unveiled a comprehensive three-year roadmap aimed at combating the drug menace through strict enforcement, public awareness, and capacity building, reaffirming its commitment to making Goa a drug-free state.

Speaking at the Anti Narcotic Cell’s prize distribution ceremony held to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ved Prakash Surya said the roadmap focuses on strengthening anti-drug operations while encouraging greater public participation in the fight against narcotics.

DIG Surya urged citizens to report any drug-related activities through the MANAS helpline, assuring that all information received would be treated with complete confidentiality and acted upon promptly by the police.

“Our commitment is to make Goa a Drug-Free State,” he said, stressing that public cooperation remains crucial in eliminating the drug menace from the state.
