AAP Leaders Warn of Sit-In Protest if Government Fails to Act
Goa Khabar:AAP Ponda Assembly President Geetesh Naik and Mahila Wing President Mamata Maben led a delegation of residents from Betoda to the Electricity Department, demanding a complete waiver of high electricity bills, warning that if the bills are not completely waived by Monday, residents will launch an indefinite sit-in protest outside the Electricity Department until relief is granted.
The leaders highlighted a case of a resident living in a single-room house in Betoda who received an electricity bill of nearly ₹7,000. They questioned how the government can justify imposing such a burden on families whose monthly income is barely ₹15,000–20,000.
AAP Leaders Stated that when the BJP comes to seek votes at people’s doorstep again, people will reject them the same way they’ve rejected every common man’s demands.
