Drawing and Painting Competition on the Theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat / Drug-Free India”

Goa Khabar:On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Anti Narcotic Police Station, under the guidance of Smt. Sunita Sawant, Superintendent of Police, ANC, and Shri Nerlon Albuquerque, Superintendent of Police holding charge of DySP ANC, organized a Drawing and Painting Competition for school students from across Goa at GO Mess and Ganpati Hall, Altinho, Panaji on the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat / Drug-Free India.”

The objective of the competition was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and addiction and to encourage them to spread the message of a healthy and drug-free lifestyle through their creativity and artistic expression.

The event received an overwhelming response from students across the State. A total of 237 students participated in the 5th to 7th Standard category, while 162 students participated in the 8th to 10th Standard category, marking a total participation of 399 students.

The enthusiasm displayed by the students reflected their understanding of the importance of staying away from drugs and other forms of addiction. Through their artwork, the students effectively conveyed the message of a Drug-Free India and the need to make informed and healthy choices in life.

Parents and teachers appreciated the initiative and commended the arrangements made by the Anti Narcotic Police Station, Goa Police for the successful conduct of the event.

The programme forms part of the continuous efforts of Goa Police to spread awareness among young minds and strengthen the vision of a Drug-Free Goa and Nasha Mukt Bharat.
