Goa Khabar : The countdown to one of Goa’s most vibrant monsoon celebrations has officially begun, with just one month remaining for the Siolim São João Traditional Boat Festival 2026.
Organised by the Siolim São João Traditional Boat Festival & Cultural Organisation in association with Goa Tourism, the festival will be held on 24 June 2026 from 3:30 PM onwards near St. Anthony’s Church, Siolim, Bardez, Goa.
Known for its colourful traditions, festive spirit and strong community participation, the São João festival is celebrated with decorated boats, traditional “kopels” (floral crowns), music, dance and various cultural activities. The event attracts thousands of locals and tourists every year, making it one of Goa’s most iconic monsoon festivals.
Organisers have urged people to save the date and prepare to experience the true spirit of Goa’s monsoon festivities. The celebration promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with culture, music and traditional customs that have been preserved for generations.
