Goa Khabar:Chairman of the Media & Communication Department of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, Amarnath Panjikar, launched a scathing attack on the BJP Government after Health Minister Vishwajit Rane described Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant as a “magician” who would create 22,000 government jobs in Goa.
Amarnath Panjikar said that the statement itself exposes the complete failure, desperation, and bankruptcy of the BJP Government. “When a government has no report card to show, no achievements to defend, and no answers for unemployed youth, it starts selling magic, illusions, and political fantasy,” he remarked.
He questioned whether the so-called “magic” of the BJP Government was responsible for pushing thousands of educated Goan youth into unemployment, contractual labour, migration, and hopelessness while a select few continue to enjoy political patronage and favouritism.
“The people of Goa elected a government to govern the state — not perform magic tricks. Goa is not a circus and the youth of Goa are not spectators waiting for miracles,” Amarnath Panjikar asserted.
He further stated that if 22,000 vacancies genuinely exist in government departments, then the BJP Government must explain:
* Why these posts have remained vacant for years,
* Why recruitment processes are repeatedly delayed,
* Why deserving Goan youth are forced to struggle endlessly for employment,
* And why the government wakes up with grand promises only when public anger and elections begin approaching.
Amarnath Panjikar accused the BJP Government of systematically destroying the confidence of the younger generation through false promises and headline management. “Every election, BJP manufactures dreams for unemployed youth. After elections, those dreams disappear while corruption, inflation, favouritism, and unemployment continue to rise,” he said.
He also questioned whether the “magic” referred to by Vishwajit Rane was the same magic through which:
* Prices of fuel and essential commodities keep rising,
* Outsourcing and contractual jobs have replaced secure employment,
* Public resources are diverted towards publicity and cosmetic projects,
* And BJP leaders continue making tall claims without accountability.
“The BJP Government has become an expert in event management, PR campaigns, and political marketing, but has completely failed in administration, employment generation, and protecting the future of Goan youth,” Amarnath Panjikar stated.
He demanded that the government immediately place before the people:
* A department-wise list of all vacancies,
* Recruitment timelines,
* Reservation and recruitment details,
* And a public accountability mechanism to ensure fair and transparent recruitment.
Amarnath Panjikar said that the youth of Goa do not need magicians, illusionists, or headline creators. “They need jobs, transparency, opportunities, and a government that speaks with honesty instead of arrogance and propaganda,” he concluded.
