Goa Heritage Festival to be held from May 8-10 in Saligao
Goa Khabar: The Department of Tourism, Goa, in association with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), is set to host the Goa Heritage Festival 2026 at the Football Ground, Saligao, from May 8–10, 2026, from 6:00 pm onwards. Positioned as a vibrant celebration of Goa’s rich cultural legacy, this three-day festival will bring together live Goan music, traditional performances, fashion showcases, local cuisine, and community participation, offering both locals and visitors an immersive experience of Goa, beyond its beaches.
The festival will be inaugurated on May 8th in the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Shri. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, along with key leaders and representatives from the tourism and cultural sectors including Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism
Speaking ahead of the festival, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, said: “The Goa Heritage Festival is a celebration of the soul of Goa—its people, traditions, music, and culinary richness. Through initiatives like these, we are committed to showcasing Goa as a year-round, experience-driven destination that goes beyond its beaches. This festival reflects our vision of promoting regenerative tourism while strengthening community participation and cultural pride.”

The three-day cultural and entertainment event scheduled from May 8-10 at Saligao promises a vibrant lineup of music, performances, showcasing the state’s culinary diversity and local entrepreneurship and community celebrations.
Friday evening, the inaugural day, will commence with a brass band procession followed by traditional Ganesh Vandana and performances by David Furtado Productions, leading into an evening of orchestral music and live band performances including Harmony Orchestra and Band Forefront
On Saturday, the program features telecast of a Konkani film, dynamic LED shows by Vajra Aigal, a fashion show by Ninoshka, and musical performances by Band Shine and concluding with a special performance by Sudesh Bhosle along with Band Lehre.
The concluding day on Sunday will showcase a telecast of a classic Konkani film, traditional dance performances including Kalshi and Dekhni, followed by live music by Band Archies and Band Raagas 2 Riches, along with a felicitation ceremony honouring eminent personalities from the Saligao constituency
