EAST Bengal blank Sesa 7-0, Sreenidhi beat Jamshedpur 4-0 on high scoring day.

Goa Khabar: Football giants, East Bengal blanked local team Sesa Academy by a margin of seven goals at the Don Bosco grounds in Margao, even as Sreenidhi Deccan too, exerted their superiority over a hapless Jamshedpur team 4-0 at the Raia grounds on Tuesday morning, the third day of the DSC-AIFF junior league.

The speedy East Bengal team were too fast and clinical for Sesa academy, as Jahid Karikar opened the goal fest in the 11th minute. This was followed by a Romit Das brace ( 33rd and 40th minute) and a Arnaav Chettri hat-trick ( 45th, 79th and 95th min). Taibur Molla also helped himself to a goal in the 54th minute. East Bengal had Sesa on the mat, 4-0 at half-time itself.

In the second morning game, Sreenidhi Deccan played at a much faster pace than Jamshedpur and their strikers were unafraid of taking shots at the goal. Not surprisingly, Sreenidhi led 2-0 at half-time through goals by Syed Riyan ( 13th min) and T Retish Singh ( 49th minute). I Nirus Meitei with a brace in the second half ( 71st and 95th min) contributed to Jamshedpur’s misery in the second half.

In the two evening matches, Bengaluru FC beat SSE-BFC Mumbai 3-1 and Minerva Academy beat Football 4 Change 2-1. Hrishikesh Manavathi scored a hat-trick for Bengaluru ( 21st, 65th and 81st min) while Neil Alby Mathew reduced the margin for SSE-BFC in the 37th minute. For Minerva, their top goal scorer, K Denamoni scored a brace ( 26th and 47th min) while L Haokip reduced the margin for Football 4 Change with a 46th minute goal.
