Goa Khabar: The Porvorim BJP Mandal celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar with great enthusiasm today. On the occasion, Porvorim MLA and Tourism Minister Rohan Ashok Khaunte was present as the chief guest.
The program was attended by Socorro Zilla Panchayat member Amit Asnodkar, Penha de França Z.P. member Sandeep Salgaonkar, Socorro Sarpanch Sonia Pednekar, Penha de França Sarpanch Sapnil Chodankar, Porvorim BJP Mandal President Vineet Parab, along with panch members from all three panchayats in large numbers.
The program began with Minister Khaunte offering floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar. The dignitaries present paid homage to the architect of the Indian Constitution and reflected on his thoughts and contributions.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA and Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar taught Indian society the values of equality, liberty, and fraternity. He noted that the Constitution framed by Dr. Ambedkar is a strong pillar of the country’s democracy, and every citizen must follow his ideals.
He further emphasized the importance of social justice, education, and inclusive development. The program concluded with attendees resolving to follow and carry forward the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
