Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a blistering attack on the BJP, Congress, and MGP, alleging a “secret political setting” designed to mislead voters in the upcoming Ponda by-election. AAP leaders claimed that the three parties have formed an unholy nexus to ensure the BJP retains power, regardless of which candidate wins.

The ‘Nexus’ Exposed: Addressing a press conference, AAP State President Valmiki Naik, along with Sr. Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai, General Secretary Adv. Surel Tilve, and Mahila Wing President Mamata Maben, presented what they called “clear evidence” of a three-party alliance.

The leaders pointed to two specific instances to back their claims:

  • The Congress-BJP Connection: AAP highlighted that the Congress campaign in-charge, John Pereira, is the husband of Wilma Pereira, who is a BJP Panch-supporter.
  • The MGP-Congress Connection: They further noted that MGP Councillor Geetali Talaulikar is openly campaigning for the Congress candidate, despite the MGP being in a formal alliance with the BJP.

“CM is Scared of Losing”: AAP State President Valmiki Naik alleged that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is terrified of a direct defeat and has consequently kept a “backdoor open” through Congress candidate Ketan Bhatikar.

“This is a desperate attempt to field two BJP candidates under different symbols. Whether you vote for the lotus or the hand, the remote control remains with the BJP. They are playing a fixed match to retain power by any means necessary,” Naik stated.

Appeal to Voters: Urging the people of Ponda to see through this “political drama,” AAP leaders stated that the only way to break this cycle of setting-politics is to vote for the ‘Jhadu’ (Broom). The party maintained that they are the only credible alternative standing against the established nexus that has historically traded the trust of Goan voters for personal political gains.
