Goa Khabar : Pratap Naik, a Class X student of PM Kendriya Vidyalaya INS Mandovi, Goa, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a place among the top 40 participants in the prestigious National STEM Quiz 4.0 Grand Finale, held at Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad, on March 25–26, 2026. Organized by the Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, the competition witnessed participation from over 15 lakh students across the country.
Pratap qualified for the finals through a rigorous multi-stage selection process, beginning with an online virtual round and progressing through highly competitive elimination stages, where only the best performers advanced.
The National STEM Quiz 4.0 is known for its innovative format and focus on promoting learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Divided into Junior (Classes 9 & 10) and Senior (Classes 11 & 12) categories, the quiz also includes STEM learning camps in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Coding, Mathematics, and Science. With incentives like scholarships up to ₹1.5 lakh and exposure visits to premier institutions, the competition offers a unique platform for young talent. Pratap’s achievement of reaching the top 40 at the national level is a matter of great pride for Goa and serves as an inspiration to students aspiring to excel in STEM fields.
