Goa Khabar:On Tuesday, 10th February, the Aam Aadmi Party’s public interaction programme titled “AAP MLAs Connect” received an enthusiastic response from citizens across the state. Residents from Santa Cruz, Panaji, Dona Paula and several other parts of Goa participated both offline and online, directly engaging with AAP MLAs and raising pressing local concerns.
The programme was organised at the AAP office in Panaji. Many citizens attended in person and interacted directly with the MLAs, while others joined through live streaming and shared their concerns digitally.
During the interaction, detailed discussions were held on key issues such as lack of basic civic amenities, inadequate healthcare services, land conversions, irregular water supply, the growing drug menace, rising crime, political interference in policing, accidents, and corruption in local administration.
AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik said,
“We will take this initiative to more talukas of Goa. People of Benaulim and Velim gave us opportunity to serve Goa and we are here for everyone from Canacona to Pernem.”
AAP MLA Captain Venzy Viegas stated,
“This is our attempt to take the voice of the common man to the Assembly. Every issue raised here will be studied and taken up strongly in the upcoming session.”
AAP MLA Engr. Cruz Silva assured the citizens, saying,
“I want to assure everyone who came here that we will fight for your issues inside the Assembly. If departments fail to act, we will raise those matters forcefully in the House.”
The MLAs further clarified that issues which can be resolved administratively at the departmental level should be addressed immediately. If officials act responsibly, further escalation will not be necessary. However, in cases of negligence or inaction, the matters will be formally raised in the Assembly.
Through the “AAP MLA Connect” initiative, the Aam Aadmi Party has once again reaffirmed its commitment to people-centric politics by directly taking citizens’ voices to the State Legislature.
