Goa Khabar : Punjab Chief Minister and AAP leader Bhagwant Mann arrived in Goa today on a one-day visit. He was warmly received at Dabolim Airport by AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik, Goa In-Charge and former Delhi CM Atishi, Working President Gerson Gomes, Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai, along with party volunteers and leaders.

Following his arrival, CM Bhagwant Mann addressed a press conference at the International Centre Goa. Present at the press conference were Goa In-Charge Atishi, State President Valmiki Naik, Working President Gerson Gomes, AAP MLA Engr. Cruz Silva, Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik, and Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai.

Addressing the media, AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik said, “Only AAP can give the people of Goa a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme like we have implemented in Punjab. The BJP will never do this. The BJP government has failed the people of Goa miserably. The CAG report has exposed them, and today there is a 51% shortage of doctors at GMC.”

Valmiki Naik further said, “BJP’s DDSSY scheme covers only 447 procedures and does not even include basic surgeries like cataract operations. Ironically, our MLAs Capt. Venzy Viegas and Engr. Cruz Silva have facilitated cataract surgeries for people despite being in the opposition. This government should be ashamed that AAP leaders and volunteers are doing the work BJP is supposed to do.”

He added that AAP leaders, volunteers, and MLAs have continuously helped people access healthcare. “It was the BJP government’s responsibility, but AAP did it without being in power. Goans deserve a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme with extensive hospital coverage. BJP will never give this — only AAP can.”

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, while addressing the press, said, “The AAP government has taken care of the treatment of 3 crore people in Punjab. Only AAP can provide such facilities to the people of Goa. Under our government, every Punjabi gets ₹10 lakh health insurance with free treatment, without any conditions.”

He added, “Treatment for all diseases is available under this scheme in more than 900 government and private hospitals across Punjab and Chandigarh. While BJP is busy buying MLAs and selling off the country’s assets, AAP is busy buying medicines, building hospitals, and fulfilling the needs of the common man.”

Goa In-Charge and former Delhi CM Atishi said, “Under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann, Punjab has seen a complete transformation in the education and health sectors. BJP has failed to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme across the country. While the Centre allocated ₹8,000 crore for Ayushman Bharat, the AAP government alone allocated ₹1,500 crore for Punjab’s healthcare.”

Atishi concluded by saying, “Now it is in the hands of the people of Goa. If Goans want a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme and real healthcare reforms, only an AAP government can deliver it in Goa.”

AAP reiterated that the AAP’s healthcare model is proof that honest intent and people-centric governance can transform lives, and appealed to Goans to choose healthcare, dignity, and accountability over BJP’s empty promises.
