Goa Khabar : Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao on Saturday met Former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, Ferdino Rebello, and discussed the state’s ongoing issues.
Aldona MLA Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira was also present during the meeting and participated in discussions.
“It’s reassuring to have someone of his stature guiding us to protect Goa’s environment and traditions. I am confident that under his guidance, we will steer towards a better future for our Goem,” Alemao said after meeting Justice Rebello.
“Common people are angry about the destructive activities taking place in the state. But the situation is such that some of them don’t voice it as the current dispensation plays vindictive politics. Those who speak against illegalities are either beaten or harassed in many ways. I am confident that the call given by Justice Rebello will encourage our people to protect our Goem,” Alemao said.
“The BJP would have set a narrative if any political party spoke against their illegalities, hill cuttings, land conversions, hafta vasuli, and corruption. But when vigilant people speak, they will have no choice but to bow down or slow down their hatred through their IT Cell,” Alemao pointed out.
He said that he personally feels Goa should be rebuilt by eradicating all the illegalities and brotherhood should be restored.
“I fully support the call given by justice Ferdino Rebello that our Goa should be protected. Every person who love Goa, should come ahead to speak against the illegalities taking place in the state,” Alemao urged.
