Goa Khabar : Goa, internationally recognised as one of India’s most important and safest tourist destinations, is today facing an unprecedented crisis under BJP rule. The state’s identity—built on safety, a clean environment, social harmony, and strong cultural values—is being deliberately destroyed by an incompetent and corrupt government.

During the BJP’s tenure, corruption has reached alarming levels, while illegal activities have been allowed to flourish with political protection. Unlicensed clubs and commercial establishments operating with impunity have led to the tragic death of 25 innocent people. This is not mere negligence; it is criminal failure of governance stated Mr. Thakare.

Serious allegations of money being demanded at the highest levels in government recruitment have completely shattered the confidence of the youth. The tragic suicides of five students in hostels expose the government’s apathy, while the alarming rise in drug abuse among students reflects a total collapse of social and administrative control said Manickrao Thakare.

He further said that Goa is witnessing a sharp rise in heinous crimes such as robbery, rape, kidnapping, and murder. Law and order has broken down, and citizens are living in fear. A government that cannot protect its people has forfeited its right to rule.

The BJP government has also betrayed Goa on the environmental front. Rampant coal transportation is causing severe pollution, destroying Goa’s fragile ecology and endangering public health. Even within the BJP, ministers and MLAs are openly accusing each other of corruption, exposing deep internal rot and chaos said Mr. Thakare.

Despite grand promises made during the Assembly elections, the BJP has failed on all fronts. Instead of governance, the government is focused on horse-trading and engineering defections by luring MLAs from opposition parties—an open assault on democracy and the people’s mandate charged Manickrao Thakare.

Basic issues such as drinking water, healthcare, and rural road infrastructure remain unresolved, while the BJP government remains obsessed with power, control, and self-interest stated Mr. Thakare.

Goa deserves better. For the sake of the state’s future, the safety of its citizens, protection of its environment, and the well-being of its youth, this corrupt, anti-people, and failed BJP government must be held accountable said AICC Incharge for Goa Manickrao Thakare.
