Goa Khabar : With just two days left for polling, the Aam Aadmi Party has intensified its campaign across Salcette, giving a decisive final push in Navelim, Raia, Velim and Colva. AAP, which has emerged as a key contender across Salcette, has significantly scaled up its on-ground outreach, signalling strong confidence going into polling day.
AAP Goa In-Charge and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has been stationed in Salcette for nearly two days, actively participating in door-to-door campaigns along with party leaders, MLAs, ZP candidates and volunteers. The party’s two large public meetings in Xeldem and Colva have further boosted momentum, drawing massive crowds and strong public response.
AAP MLAs have been aggressively campaigning, taking their work and the party’s vision of corruption-free governance, no gundaraj and priority to free, quality healthcare directly to households. On Thursday morning, AAP MLA Engr. Cruz Silva led an intensive door-to-door campaign in the Velim ZP seat, accompanied by the ZP candidate and Atishi.
Speaking during the campaign, AAP Goa In-Charge Atishi said, “We have been campaigning very seriously and our candidates are receiving an extremely encouraging response. The way AAP has taken on the BJP on every issue — corruption, gundaraj, healthcare and livelihoods — clearly shows that AAP is serious about defeating the BJP.”
She further added, “So far, AAP has knocked on 1,90,000 doors across Goa. In Salcette, the intensity of door-to-door campaigning has been very high, with multiple rounds in several areas. The way people are welcoming us shows that Goans have accepted AAP as the only credible opposition to the BJP.”
AAP MLA Engr. Cruz Silva said voters are choosing work over distractions. “People of Goa, especially in Velim, will ignore all the noise and so-called friendly fights. They will vote for the work done on the ground in the last 3.5 years. Velim will vote to strengthen the fight against the BJP by voting for AAP.”
AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas, speaking about Benaulim and Colva, said, “The work done by AAP in Benaulim is a symbol of our commitment to public service. Free clinics, health camps and standing with people when the government failed them — this is AAP’s politics. The people of Benaulim and Colva will strengthen this work by voting for Jhadu and electing honest representatives.”
AAP Working President Gerson Gomes, who is personally overseeing the Navelim campaign, strongly attacked the BJP–Congress nexus.
“In Navelim, the Congress candidate is effectively a BJP candidate. This is BJP–Congress familyraj being pushed on the people. Navelim voters understand this betrayal. They will reject this alliance and vote for Jhadu, electing Beatris D’Souza, a working middle-class woman who truly represents the people.”
AAP stated that its final phase of campaigning in Salcette is focused on direct public engagement, accountability and people-first politics, as the party enters polling day with strong grassroots support and growing confidence across the constituency.
