St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Aldona celebrates colourful annual day

Goa Khabar : St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Aldona celebrated its Annual Day on 22nd November 2025 with enthusiasm and vibrant student performances. The programme began with the National Anthem and School Anthem, followed by a welcome address by the Manager, Rev. Fr. Jerard Sahayaraj MSFS, who highlighted the school’s focus on holistic education.

The event was graced by Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, Founder of the PACT Foundation; Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira, MLA of Aldona Constituency; and Rev. Fr. Johnson Gonsalves MSFS, Provincial Superior of the Pune Province.

The cultural programme featured a graceful welcome dance, Goan folk performances, fusion dances, comedy skits, and a thematic play titled “Hope Does Not Disappoint Us.” The dignitaries appreciated the students’ talent and encouraged them to preserve Goan culture and language.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony recognised academic and co-curricular achievements, with Purple House lifting the Overall Championship trophy. Teacher Asiambi Shaikh was honoured for 25 years of dedicated service.

Principal Mrs. Angelica Fernandes thanked the management, staff, parents, and students for their wholehearted support. The evening concluded with a spirited medley of Goan songs accompanied by a live band, marking a memorable finale to the Annual Day celebrations.
