AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas start First Free Diabetic Retinopathy Centre in South Goa

Now, diabetic retina care completely free at our two clinic in Benaulim: MLA Venzy Viegas
Goa Khabar:The event began with prayers for the good health of everyone present. At the start of his speech, MLA Viegas expressed gratitude to all the medical professionals participating in this initiative. He further said, “There will be no interruption in the services provided by these clinics. In fact, we will continue to upgrade the quality of healthcare in the future. Providing free medical services to the people will always remain my foremost duty.”
“If you have diabetes, you must take diabetic retinopathy seriously! For timely care and treatment, diabetic patients should visit our clinics in Benaulim and Carmona,” appealed MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas.
Present at the inauguration were LASIK and corneal eye surgeon Dr. Sean S. Da Silva,
AAP Coordinator for the 7 villages in Benaulim Constituency were present for the event Benaulim’s Charles Fernandes, Cavelossim’s Clide Fernandes, Carmona’s Venecia George, Orlim’s Stalan Mendes, Varca’s Gabby Antao, Colva’s Menino Rodrigues, and Seraulim’s Kevin D’Souza.
AAP Coordinators for Benaulim present for the opening issued a joint statement “MLA Venzy Viegas has shown Goa that without being in government you can serve the people, lot of MLAs jumped ship from one party to another in the name of development. Yet their constituency still lack basic healthcare facilities. Benaulim has seen all kind of healthcare services at zero charges. We wish to see this change in every constituency of Goa”
Local residents expressed that the concept of a free medical clinic—initiated by AAP MLA Capt Venzy Viegas is entirely new for Goans, and that such initiatives should ideally be implemented at the government level. A large number of locals were present for the inauguration of this centre.
