Goa Khabar : In a major boost to the Aam Aadmi Party’s growing strength in Salcette, Congress leader and former Betalbatim Panch Feliciana Falcao along with 20 supporters joined AAP today in the presence of Benaulim MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas, AAP Leader from Nuvem Brian Rodrigues, and Benaulim ZP Member Joseph Pimenta.
After joining AAP, Ex-Betalbatim Panch Feliciana Falcao said, We all have to unite and fight BJP because today, only AAP is standing against them on every issue — be it fighting against Gundaraj, hill cutting, and bad roads or fighting for Mhadei. In 2022, we voted for Congress, but our MLA betrayed us and joined BJP. This time, we will not repeat that mistake. A vote to Congress is a vote to BJP — and the people of Goa know that now.
Welcoming Feliciana Falcao into the party fold, AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas said, Congress has betrayed Goa twice — first in 2017 and again in 2022. Their MLAs helped the BJP form the government and have destroyed Goa’s social fabric. That is why today our land, rivers, and hills are under threat, and Gundaraj has taken over. This ZP election, Goans must defeat the unholy alliance of BJP and Congress and bring AAP — the only party that stands for honesty and the people.
AAP Leader from Nuvem Brian Rodrigues said, We are proud that our two AAP MLAs did not defect to BJP. Unlike Congress MLAs, who jumped the moment they got a good offer, AAP’s representatives have remained loyal to their people. Nuvem is a living example — voters here chose Congress, and their MLA immediately joined BJP. This betrayal will not be forgiven.
AAP Benaulim ZP Member Joseph Pimenta added, Capt. Venzy has shown Goa what can be done when politics is about people, not power. He didn’t divide; he delivered. His work in Benaulim and MLA Cruz Silva’s work in Velim have become the benchmark for good governance. This is the kind of leadership Goa deserves.
With Feliciana Falcao’s induction, the Aam Aadmi Party continues to expand its base across Salcette, bringing together honest grassroots leaders who believe in politics of work, not opportunism.
