Goa Khabar : Churchill Brothers FC Goa eased past Chapora Yuvak Sangh 3–0 in the Goa Professional League at the Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Saturday.

The opening exchanges were evenly balanced, with both sides probing for openings. Chapora goalkeeper Tanesh Kankonkar was called into action early, producing a sharp save in the 11th minute to deny the Red Machines. At the other end, Sachidanand Satelkar came close for Chapora with a curling free-kick in the 24th minute that sailed inches wide.

Churchill eventually broke the deadlock through Kinesh Singh. Jyothish combined smartly with Rahul Bora on the left, received the return pass at the edge of the box, and slid a perfect through ball for Kinesh, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and slotted home to make it 1–0.

Fueled by the opener, Churchill doubled their advantage through Danish Aribam. A defensive mix-up from Chapora saw the ball fall kindly to Jyothish, who quickly released Kinesh. The forward threaded a neat pass to Danish on the right, and the winger showed composure to cut inside and fire a powerful strike into the far top corner for a 2–0 lead.

Chapora tried to respond, but Churchill’s backline stood firm to preserve their cushion heading into the break.

After the restart, Churchill wasted no time adding a third. Barely a minute into the second half, Aliton Furtado slipped a through ball for Danish, who controlled neatly and curled a fine effort into the bottom-left corner to complete his brace.

Chapora showed moments of fight, with Richard Cardozo coming closest in the 79th minute, but his effort flew just wide. Despite their efforts, Chapora lacked the cutting edge to breach a disciplined Churchill defense.

At full-time, Churchill Brothers walked away with a 3-0 win.
