Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa on Thursday launched its ‘BJP Che Burak’ door-to-door signature campaign in Saligaon, demanding urgent road repairs. The initiative received an overwhelming response from local residents, who voiced anger over pothole-ridden and waterlogged roads.

AAP Goa General Secretary (Organisation) Shrikrishna Parab said the campaign reflects growing frustration with the BJP-led government. “People are risking their lives daily on dangerous roads while contractors profit. Citizens are suffering, and this response proves Goans are ready to hold the government accountable,” Parab said.

AAP Goa Vice President Chetan Kamat highlighted that poor infrastructure is now a safety hazard. “Nearly 50% of road accident deaths in Goa are linked to poor road conditions. Our children deserve better. Safe roads are not a luxury but a basic right,” he said.

Residents narrated their struggles, with one comparing the situation to “living between Mandovi and Zuari” due to frequent waterlogging. Others said repeated promises of repairs had not materialized, while some reported children being injured after falling on pothole-ridden stretches.

AAP leaders said the campaign was just the beginning of a larger movement aimed at exposing the alleged BJP-contractor nexus and demanding accountability for basic civic infrastructure.
