MLA Viresh Borkar joins Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant in inaugurating the newly constructed water Tanks at Agassaim & Nauxim

Goa Khabar : In a significant move to strengthen water infrastructure in St. Andre constituency, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and local MLA Viresh Borkar jointly inaugurated new water storage tanks in Agassaim and Nauxim today. The project, initiated by MLA Viresh Borkar, marks a major step forward in addressing local water supply challenges. The total project amount for the newly constructed water tanks stands at *₹21 crore*.

The inauguration ceremony marked the operational launch of an OHR 650 and a GLR 2000 tank in Agassaim, as well as an OHR 650 tank in Nauxim. These facilities are set to significantly enhance the reliability and capacity of local water supply systems, addressing longstanding challenges faced by residents in both villages.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighted the government’s ongoing commitment to upgrading water infrastructure across Goa, ensuring better access and management of water resources for all communities. MLA Viresh Borkar emphasized the positive impact these tanks will have on daily life and thanked the Chief Minister for his support in bringing essential projects to St. Andre.

The new tanks are expected to provide a reliable supply of water, especially during peak demand periods, and are part of a broader strategy to improve water security and community resilience in the region.
