MLA Viresh Borkar organised Plant distribution drive in Goa Velha

Goa Khabar : MLA Viresh Borkar of the Revolutionary Goans Party spearheaded a vibrant Plant Distribution Drive in collaboration with the Goa Velha Panchayat and local volunteers this week. The event, held in the heart of the village, saw enthusiastic participation from residents, who expressed gratitude and warmly welcomed the MLA for his environmental initiative.

Addressing the gathering, Borkar emphasized the urgent need to protect Goa’s green cover. “Many trees are being cut and burned across Goa. We must stop this destruction and work together to grow more plants,” he urged, highlighting the increasing threats to the state’s natural environment.

Borkar, who has previously submitted a private member’s bill on land protection and conservation in the state assembly, reiterated his commitment to safeguarding Goa’s ecological heritage.
