Goa Khabar : As per the directions of HCM Goa, North Goa District Police, under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police, North Shri Rahul Gupta, IPS, is proud to participate in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative launched by the Government of India. This nationwide campaign aims to promote environmental conservation and community engagement by encouraging citizens to plant trees in the name of their mothers.
As part of this initiative, Police personnel from various Police stations across North Goa have come together to plant saplings at their respective Police Station. A total of 280 saplings were planted across 14 Police Stations in North Goa today on 09.06.2025.
The Police Stations and the number of saplings planted are as follows:
1. Panaji – 15
2. Old Goa – 50
3. Agacaim – 8
4. Mapusa – 35
5. Anjuna – 7
6. Colvale – 15
7. Pernem – 25
8. Mandrem – 15
9. Mopa Airport – 25
10. Porvorim – 30
11. Calangute – 10
12. Saligao – 10
13. Bicholim – 10
14. Valpoi – 25
This initiative not only contributes to environmental conservation but also serves as a tribute to the nurturing role of mothers in our lives. The North Goa District Police is committed to promoting environmental awareness and community engagement through such initiatives.
