Goa Khabar : Health Minister Vishwajit Rane conducted an inspection of the upcoming Tertiary Centre for Cancer Care, where work is steadily progressing on Goa’s first Cancer Super Speciality Hospital.
This state-of-the-art facility is set to revolutionize cancer treatment in the region, ensuring advanced and comprehensive care. Developed in collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre, the hospital will focus on cancer prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care. It will also contribute to academic programs, clinical research, and the establishment of a hospital-based cancer registry to enhance oncology services in the state.
Accompanying the minister was Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMC, whose expertise will play a key role in shaping this high-end medical center, aimed at making specialized cancer care more accessible to the people of Goa.
