Goa Khabar : Gaining a chance at redemption, Ritisha Baradur will face off against Gargi Oak in the Open U16 Girls Singles final of the ongoing Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2025, after conceding to Gargi 4-3(6), 2-4, 10-4 in the Open U12 Girls Singles semi-finals in the tournament, taking place on the courts of Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar.
In the Open U12 Girls Singles, Urvi Pai Panandiker defeated Bhaavya Bhoomkar 6-0 in the quarterfinals before trumping Neeraja Damle 2-4, 4-2, 10-7 in the semi-finals. Ritisha Baradur bested Natalie Buhariwala Sanchez 6-0 in the quarterfinals before being outclassed by Gargi Oak 4-3(6), 2-4, 10-4 in the semi-finals.
Ethan de Ataide defeated Parth Kadam 6-0 and Aarin bested Timofei Polosin 6-1 in the Open U12 Boys Singles quarterfinals. In the same category, the pre-quarterfinals saw Christian Fernandes beat Claron Alphonso 6-1, and the semi-finals saw Devaansh Naik vanquish Aarin Ballani 4-2, 4-2, and Kriyansh R overcome Ethan de Ataide 4-1, 2-4, 10-9 after a tough match.
In the Open U16 Girls Singles, Gargi Oak trumped Tvisha Sardesai 4-0, 4-0, and Ritisha Baradur won against Tithee Bhoomkar 2-4, 4-1, 10-3, leading to another on-court face-off between Gargi and Ritisha. In the Open U16 Boys Singles semi-finals, Ethan de Ataide beat Kyan Mavany 2-4,4-1, 10-3.
In the Open Mixed Doubles semi-finals, Sanika Kambli/Shubham Shaw trounced Tanya Shelyazhynska-Caldeira/Santosh Gorawar 6-4, 6-7, 10-6 and Trisha Vinod/Maaz Khan prevailed over Gargi Oak/ Husen Shaikh 6-3, 6-1, with the winners set to meet in a thrilling final.
The Open Men’s Doubles semi-finals witnessed Saiel Gajinkar/Jay Pawar overpower Sagar Kumar/Vikramaditya Kohli 7-6(2), 3-6, 10-6.
