Goa Khabar:Special Shramik Express Train No. 05044 departed from Madgaon Railway Station at 1:19 pm, for Howrah in West Bengal carrying 1279 passengers on board, While second Special Train No.05046 Departed at 7:00 pm with 1600 passengers for Patna in Bihar today.
The passengers who boarded on both the trains were stranded in Goa due to ongoing nationwide lockdown.
SP South, Shri Arvind Gawas, IPS; Special Additional Collector, Shri Sanjiv Dessai; SP, Shri Sammy Tavares; SP, Shri Serafin Dias and other senior officers of District Administration, Konkan Railways and Police Department were present at the time of Departure of train at Madgaon Railway Staion.
All passengers were provided with Food packets, water bottles, snacks, ORS sachets and other essential items before boarding the train. Special Care was given to pregnant women, elderly persons, and Children during the boarding procedure. Social distancing at the station and inside the trains, compulsory wearing of face masks and maintaining hygiene were ensured. Trains and coach interiors are thoroughly sanitized and cleaned for maintaining hygienic travel conditions for passengers. Coaches are provided with liquid soaps for maximum cleanliness during the journey. The Railway Protection Force team escorts the passengers, for a smooth and hassle-free train journey.
